Awaken, strengthen and restore your body and mind in this slower-paced yoga session which explores basic yoga poses, such as standing poses, twists, mild backbends, and supported inversions. As opposed to a Vinyasa, or Flow, class which moves rather quickly from pose to pose, in this alignment-based class, we take the time to learn and explore fundamentals of proper alignment and posture, and how to apply these principles, not only in our own practices, but in our daily lives as well. We frequently use props, such as blankets, blocks, a yoga strap, and a chair, not only for support, but also as a guide to finding correct alignment in the body. If you do not have props, we can get creative with household items, and no yoga experience is required to attend this class. All are welcome!
